What is Kinesiology?
The first thing to know about Kinesiology is that there are many different types. Most forms of Kinesiology are based around working with the health, wellbeing and movement of the human body. Whilst the majority use some form of biofeedback muscle monitoring, only a few use advanced corrective techniques linked to the ancient eastern teachings around energitic meridian systems. The study, application and mastering of these techniques can take years to learn and requires guided practical coaching as well as concerted academic study of the body systems and functions. It is important to know that your practitioner is certified to a recognised level and has been trained at a registered and government accredited training institute. All practitioners within the Perth Kinesiology Specialist Group (PKSG) are fully qualified, associate members and fully insured Advanced Diploma graduates. Their significant clinical practice and personal mentoring hours enable them to provide the highest level of professional Kinesiology care available.
Being a highly certified Kinesiologist and association member ensures that your practitioner is bound to maintain their qualifications with a commitment to continued professional development, professional insurances and current first aid as a minimum.
A Kinesiologist is never permitted to provide a medical diagnosis and for this reason they may request you to seek medical advice in addition to your kinesiology treatment. Kinesiolgy works with the bodies energetic pathways and will not interfere with any medical treatment you may currently be receiving. It can enhance the healing rate and often assist with providing further insight to the bodies state by the use of biomechanic feedback measuring techniques. Often Kinesiolgy can be the difference between people managing a condition and actually healing it all together, or at least providing greater long term relief from their symptoms.
Kinesiology is a very gentle non invasive modality that uses tools such as ancient flower essence remedies, sound therapy, tei shin accupressure, essential oils, biochemical analysis, reiki and other such methods. It is a masterful skill to be able to work with an individuals internal guidance system to bring the body's systems and functions back into a state of homeostasis and balance. Adding Kinesiology, Emmitt and N.O.T therapy to her bow makes her one of our most highly qualified health and wellness practitioners. Justine loves sport and is super fit. She is very involved with her kids and their sporting lives as well, managing to fit in coaching basketball as just one more thing she is great at!
